Well the world has changed a lot and people refer to it as a global village since the introduction of the computer into almost everything we do in the world. We now use computer to do every thing doable; we have the e-commerce, e-economics, e-trading, e-banking and many order eees.

It is a good thing that convenience is now coming into all that we do. you can stay in your room to do a lot of thing that would have required your going in and out of your home. You can stay in your room and carry out some trading with someone in the opposite region of the world from you without going out of your room that is referred to as e-trading. You can stay in your room and just by clicks on your computer booked a flight from one location to another, you can even order for foods, electronics, cars, and even women just by clicking on your computer. These are amazing things to do.

With all i have mentioned above you can realize that people are beginning to enjoy this development. I have heard of couples that have gotten married just by meeting on the Internet and their marriage still exists. I have heard of millionaires who are genuinely making money on the Internet without cheating or scamming other people. These are great developments, but what percentage of the Internet users fall within this range. The reality on ground is that many people are still being had, cheated or scammed on the Internet because they do not know the simple basic 1,2,3 of using the Internet. This is why we need to make sure that these people are educated from time to time. The computer/ Internet is a great development but with every advantages there are also disadvantages, this is the real fact.

You may be wondering why i am taking time out to talk about this topic, well maybe it is because i live in that part of the world where the computer and its use is just gaining ground. This is why many people are loosing, money, identity and even belongings to unknown people on the Internet. The simple basic thing you need to know when you trade or bank on the Internet is that you need to take a lot of care.

1. You need to check out the site or sites that you are dealing with.

2. You need to watch out before you reveal any information to any third party on the Internet.

3. You must not click any link on notifications sent to your email by any third without confirming from whomever you are dealing with, this is because most of these links are often sent by scammers who are in need of your personal information.

I am actually saying this because many people are still unable to use their ATM cards with care, so if you have your master card, your visa card or you are using the electronic method of payment different from the ones i have mentioned such as the paypal, e-gold, liberty serve or whatever other means then you need to be very careful on how you disclose your information. Concerning your ATM, Visa card, Master card and others you are not to reveal your PIN( personal identification numbers) to anybody.

When you use you information on the Internet make sure you restart your system after use or delete all cookies especially when you are browsing on a public computer( cyber cafe).

You cannot continue to let people steal your hard earned money because of your ignorance, make sure you get as much information about e-whatever before you start using it. Better safe than regret.
